About Fort Wargame
This site's main aim is to provide resources for wargaming 20th and 21st century conflicts, whether they been
land, air or sea based. The site has no rule or scale preference, as I hope that the scales and rules
that I dont personally use, can be covered by other people's contributions. That said, for the record I will give
my vested interests as: 1/300 for Air and Land combat, 1/3000 for naval warfare, and 20mm for skirmish games.
Despite most of the site promoting miniature wargaming, I welcome board wargames related items, I indeed I have
done some of my own work on Victory in the Pacific and War at Sea that may eventally get posted up, (unfortunately
my soft copies of this have been lost, so its a case of re-scanning my hard copies).
I have been wargaming for almost 15 years, and during that time I have done a great deal of research on various
armies' vehicles and equipment. In the process of which I have found many things of interest, that do not appear
in many sets of wargames rules, or in figure manufacturers catalogues. To this end I hope to use this site to
promote knowledge about these items, to provide a reference for using these pieces in wargames, and where necessary
detailing model conversions or scratch-building exercises.
I also aim to provide reviews of new figure/rules releases and it is this area that I think other peoples' contributions
are most welcome, as I don't have the budget to sample all the new releases - alas. So if you have recieved some news
figures and wish review them, just send in your review and I'll post it up obviously giving you full credit.
